Glory to God!

God is sovereign over all creation. Which means He is in full control of all things—He does what He pleases, when He pleases, and with whomever He pleases. No matter what happens in life God is always good, gracious, and abounding in love.

God is faithful and He keeps His promises to all those who seek His will. God uses different means of accomplishing his purposes, and He calls us to be part of his new creation and to be part of his mission to bring salvation to the world. This new calling—and invitation to be part of His mission—was made possible through the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Christ, who is the first fruits of His new creation.

We are born in Christ to a new hope, a glorious inheritance that calls us to be holy and blameless before the almighty and omnipotent Creator of the Universe!

Blessed be God our father who sits on his heavenly throne with majesty and power. Praise be to Him who took our sins and iniquities upon himself for the salvation of the world. (Soli Deo Gloria!) To God alone be the Glory!

My Only Desire

My burning desire is to walk side by side with Jesus and live according to His perfect and good will all the days of my life in obedience to the authoritative and absolute truth found in His word.

I want to live a life worthy of my call in the gospel of Christ with purity, faithfulness, and holiness and so fulfill the purpose He created me for, that he established before the foundation of the world to walk in good works for Christ and for the church to the world. To abide in the love of God with humility, gentleness, and compassion for the lost and to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth.

I want to be remembered as someone who walked with the Lord, filled and empowered with His Holy Spirit. Full of zeal and passion for things above and for the kingdom of God and His glory. So that when I come into His presence I would be found as an approved and faithful servant ready to receive the crown of eternal life and the glorious inheritance through His son Jesus. Praise be to God in the highest, Creator of the universe, for His grace, mercy, and His unconditional love!

The Holy Spirit

How can we imitate God and pursue His will in our everyday lives?

First, and foremost, we must accept God’s free gift of salvation and unconditional love. This calls us to live according to His word, and put Him as the foundation and center of our very existence. This work cannot take place apart from the Holy Spirit!

We cannot change in and of ourselves. It is the work of the Holy Spirit. We regenerated or “born again” by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are made right or “justified” before God by the sacrificial atonement on our behalf of Christ on the cross. We are “sanctified” or the process of becoming more holy and by the sole work of the Holy Spirit through His word. So in others words regeneration, justification, and sanctification is the result of God’s irresistible grace in the life of the believer through the power of the Holy Spirit!

Our lives changed and are transformed because of God’s grace through the work of the Holy Spirit. He is constantly working in our hearts so that we might become image bearers of His name and to prepare us for the coming age of His kingdom of heaven on earth. That itself is something to enjoy and passionately thank God with praise and worship!

Divine Wisdom

One of the main themes in the book of Proverbs is wisdom. Wisdom is very important in just about anything that pertains to life and godliness. Wisdom is important in any type of situation or relationship. The wisdom that the world gives is meaningless. True wisdom comes forth from the Creator of the universe.

As believers in Christ we need such wisdom to live a life that pleases the Lord in all aspects. Wisdom involves everything in the ordinary life. For instance our daily behavior, conduct, and speech should all reflect this type of wisdom. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7a). When we fear the Lord, we put our faith and trust in him. These are the basic and most important fundamentals of the Christian life. These basic principles define who we are in Christ.

Wisdom is choosing between good and evil. Wisdom comes in handy in all ages and genders. Wisdom is very important in adults whom are struggling in their marriages to the youth in their inexperience and as they go about making daily decisions in life. The old and the wise can also benefit and grow more in this heavenly wisdom. Wisdom is selecting the narrow path that leads to salvation rather than the wider path that everyone takes which ultimately leads to death.

Wisdom is choosing to accept Jesus as Lord and savior of our lives and entrusting him with our souls. When God is the center and takes control, he provides the wisdom to succeed. Success will come first in a relationship with God though his son Jesus Christ and then in relationships with others that are bound by peace, joy, and love.

One can see that in Proverbs, wisdom is personified as a woman who calls out all people. “To you O men, I call, and my cry is to the children of man. O simple ones, learn prudence; O fools learn sense” (Proverbs 8:4-5). In a way wisdom is a decision that everyone has to make. God knocks at the door of our hearts and invites us into his everlasting life. Now only if we are wise enough we will listen to the sound of his voice calling.

Psalm 19:7b says “The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” When it comes to wisdom the best role model we have is Jesus. Jesus was not just a teacher but a great leader as well due to his incomparable wisdom. Jesus upon being questioned always answered back with a more impressive question or parable that really tested the knowledge of all people even the religious Pharisees. We can all learn from Jesus’ wisdom and knowledge.

Wisdom plays a big role in counseling. Not just the counselor but the counselee as well. Both parties can benefit in a physical and spiritual way. The one who counsels has to be directed by God through the Holy Spirit. Such process involves wisdom. Apart from the Holy Spirit we cannot counsel people or even ourselves in such a way that points us back to God and his kingdom.

A secular counselor will help people by providing a step by step program that only focuses on the external behavior. Eventually when that plan doesn’t work people will be empty once again and it won’t be long before they come and seek help once more, the process repeats itself all over again. Man’s actions and conduct goes way deeper than his external appearance. It’s a heart issue that requires more than just what is common.

A counselor that provides help through a biblical standpoint will have a more dramatic impact in a person’s life. Today man is characterized by his power and influence. A wrong view of man has a big effect in a person’s thinking.

The only way we can show people who they are and why they are here is by providing a biblical answer to their problems, struggles, and afflictions. “Lasting change begins when our identity, purpose, and sense of direction are defined by God’s story “(Paul Tripp).

So how can we point people back top God? Only by His true wisdom and dependence upon the Holy Spirit to move in us and through us we can point people back to him. “We are all instruments in the Redeemer’s hands. We are all people in a need of change helping other people in need of change” (Paul Tripp).

Only by divine wisdom we are able to live a life that both honors and pleases the ultimate source and author of salvation.

Sings of the Times

“Christ was indeed a king, but no such king as the world had ever seen, and such as no man expected; He was a priest, but the only priest that ever lived of whose priesthood He was himself the victim; He did establish a kingdom, but it was not of this world” (Hoekema,132).

The study of the end times has so much to do with what Jesus has already done in the past. Jesus came proclaiming “Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand” (Matthew 3:2). By Jesus coming to earth, the kingdom of God was inaugurated. Jesus preached the gospel to the poor, healed the sick, and set the captives free. One of the many prophecies of the Old Testament that Jesus fulfilled.

I’m afraid that many believers don’t fully understand what it means to be living in between the two comings of Christ. This is what the prophets and early church were eager to see. The restoration of Israel. Judging will take place for all wickedness and corruption. The dead in Christ will rise first and those alive will meet Christ in the air.

Though we do not know the day or the hour we are to live alarmed and prepared. Our lives should be motivated by the signs of the times to live as Paul says “making the most of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16) and to “walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8).

God Knows How You Operate

God knows how you operate. God knows what makes you mad and what makes you laugh. He knows what you like and don’t like. He shines his sun every morning and gives you the breath of life. The birds and the trees display his beauty.

The heavens declare his majesty. But out of all Creation, we are the ones who reflect God in so many ways. You were created in the image of God for one reason only, to have a deep rich in love relationship with your Creator.

God is the very foundation of personality, compassion, and love. God is his omniscience, all knowing, knows eternity past and eternity future. God is from everlasting to everlasting. So if he knows the future, it obvious that he must know what is best in our lives.

We can try to live on our own strength and on our terms, but no matter how hard we try we will end up failing. So why not trust God with our lives and let him take control? God is his infinite wisdom and mercy will leads us in the narrow path that leads to righteousness and eternal life.

Jesus’ Second Coming Will Be Different

Jesus was…

Betrayed by a simple kiss.

Arrested as if he was a criminal.

Denied three times by one of his closest followers.

Abandoned by his friends.

Mocked, spit on, and tortured.

Accused by many of blasphemy.

Crucified on a cross as sinner for the sin of the world…

Jesus went through all of this because he was sent forth from God on a mission to redeem His people. No other person in history has paid the price for the sin of man. “And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:10). Jesus is the Good News of Salvation!

Jesus will soon come again. This time around it will be a lot different. He will not come as a innocent lamb taking to be slaughtered, but as the Lion of Judah with power, dominion, and authority over all the nations!

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end” (Rev. 22:12-13).

For God So Loved You

Has anyone ever told you that God loves you? As crazy as that sounds its true. GOD, THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE LOVES YOU SO MUCH THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON JESUS TO DIE ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS.

I am not talking about religion or some kind of belief system that benefits your form of lifestyle. The truth is that we have all sinned and have come short of God’s glorious standard (Romans 3:23). All you have to do is repent and turn away from your sins and accept Christ as your Lord and saviour. He can take your shame and guilt away and forgive you of all you have done, big or small. In Jesus Christ you will find purpose and a true meaning to life.

IT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT YOU ARE READING THIS RIGHT NOW. Listen to the voice of God, he speaks to you now. “All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Everyone knows about God, but not all know him in a personal way. I am talking about a relationship with God through his son Jesus. HAVE THE ASSURANCE OF GOING TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE. Make the best decision of your life today…

Say this simple prayer and mean it from the heart: God I realize that I have sinned against you. I repent from my sins now and accept you as my Lord and Savior. Oh Lord thank you for your love and grace. Renew me and come into my heart. I give my life to you. In Jesus name. Amen!

If you have just prayed, you are now forgiven of all sins. You are now part of God’s family. Please let me know and share your life testimony. I want to give you a Bible as a gift for your new journey with God. Please contact me for any further comments or prayers. May the Lord bless you!
